2nd grade!!

My University had it wrong in the paperwork. I am a student teacher in the 2nd grade!! :) I started today in the 2nd grade class I will be student teaching in and I love it! My Master Teacher is so nice and friendly and she has so much experience too. The students are sweet as can be and I can't wait to really get to know them.

After lunch today the teacher allowed me to read a story to the class and when I was done one little boy clapped!! Isn't that just too much!? Hahahaha... I think I'm really going to enjoy this experience. I will start teaching social studies next week - yay!!

First Grade!

I received my first student teaching assignment last night in class. I start on Monday in first grade!! I don't have the details of school and teacher yet, but I'll learn all of that on Friday morning. I can't wait to get into the classroom and meet the teacher and all the students :) I am so excited and so nervous. I know I will have lots of trouble getting to sleep on Sunday night, but its finally here and I am so ready!!

I even went to the store yesterday and happened to see some adorable Valentine's goodies. So my first graders, who I haven't met yet, already have cute Valentine's Day pencils waiting for them :)
