In an effort to clean house (apartment) I've been making piles and piles of things to soon sell at a yard sale. I love yard sales. I went to a couple last weekend and found these pretties...
The large vase ($1) now has a candle in it.
The wrapped vase ($1) is on the dining table.
The 3 books ($1 total) are packed away, waiting for a classroom.
And the bulletin board ($2) is in my crafty area of the living room.
So I'm cleaning out the apartment and have a nice little pile of treasures for a yard sale...
- clothes
- shoes
- picture frames
- books
- printer
- more books!
- jewelry
- computer parts (from the boy)
- crafty supplies
I hope to make a litte extra so I can put it towards art supplies. The boy said he'll be painting a canvas for me. Gotta love original art!!
Have you ever held a yard sale? Any great tips?

I don't have the patience to have a yard sale - I just get rid of things. Jealous of people who find such great things!
I'm with Katie... hosting yard sales is rough. SO MUCH TIME! But, knowing there are people out there that want your stuff kind of feels good. Plus, getting some extra cash doesn't hurt either. My only tip is to give the stuff you can't sell to some charity. :)
Love that wrapped vase! My tip...set up early! The regulars go out at the crack of dawn!
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I love the little treasures you found. I don't usually go to garage sells but I'm an avid shopper at all antique stores! You should try that out as well. Love the bulletin board!
Adorable bulletin board! Kristin is right - bright and early works best!
