July Resolutions

I've seen monthly resolutions on other blogs and thought...it's the 1st, I'm doing it!

Here's my list of things to do, things to start, changes I want to make...

1.  Work out with Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, walk or run with the boy and/or Wii Fit at least 10 days.  I realize this isn't that much working out, but I have to start somewhere, right?


2.  Bake & cook more!  I have been inspired by so many lovely blogging ladies out there to try new recipes.  I love the recipes that Kendall at Keeping Up with the Joneses posts each week.  And I'm loving the idea of just trying out new things.  I'll make my goal on this one to try 8 new recipes this month.

My first attempt at something new and yummy will be for a 4th of July party this weekend.  Marshmallow Treat Pops!
You can find the recipe here.  They look so easy!  I'll of course change it to a red, white and blue pop :)

3.  Organize my paperwork!  I have so many papers, bills, statements, etc.  I have a great new filing cabinet/crate that I found at Target last month.  Now I just need to go through the papers and toss/shred those that I no longer need.


4. Pay off one of two credit cards.  I have made progress on my Victoria's Secret credit card, but of course there's always a little blanace.  So this month I will end that balance!  No more debt on that card!!  I worked a couple of days at the school district last month and when I get that check it will go towards this.  Then I will only have one card with a managable balance.  Yay!!  Definitely excited for this one.

That will mean less of these pretty bags of pretty things, but it'll be worth it!

5. Catch-up with my girlfriends.  I am always feeling like I'm on the go, but never really getting enough time with friends.  So this month I will have at least 3 girls nights out!  I have one planned for this weekend.  A few of us are going to Beauty Bar for manicures and martinis!  Can't wait!!

Great resolutions! I'm doing the 30 day shred again too (shooting for 4 days a week with 20 minutes on the elliptical after each time and one day of elliptical and pilates). I'm trying to tone up some before our vacation at the end of the month. We're also working on getting rid of our debt before we buy new cars at the end of the year. Good luck!

Hi there! Saw your profile name on your comment over at Anthroholic, and had to check out your blog. We have so much in common! I too am a teacher who loves teaching in heels! :) And looks like we're both Anthroholics! I just started grad school as well. Looking forward to reading more!

Good luck with your resolutions. I just got back into working out since my husband started P90X. Have you tried Turbo Jam?
