Halloween

This Halloween was fun and it seemed like there were mini celebrations everyweek in October!  The boy and I went to a pumpkin patch in hopes of finding the perfect pumpkin, but I will not be spending $20 for a pumpkin to carve.  So we took a quick look around, saw these funny little chickens in the petting zoo, then went over to Trader Joe's for $4 pumpkins.

I had friends over for pumpkin carving and got to use my cute (and cheap!) Halloween platters.  Although you can't tell in this picture, since they already have food on them.  It was fun to catch-up with girlfriends, have some holiday fun and even watch Harry Potter.

On Friday before Halloween I got to go to my boy's work Halloween celebration.  They transformed the entire company into haunted hallways.  In the courtyard were food carts, arts and crafts and even places to take pictures.  It was so much fun!  I wore a classic, for me, costume, lovebug!  I had a delish funnel cake...

 On Saturday we went out to a Halloween party.  The boy was Bret Michaels and I was a Poison groupie.  It was lots of fun!  I had huge 80s hair and a slashed Poison concert t-shirt.  It was an easy costume.  And randomly at the small party we went to (I'm talking only about 30-40 people) there were 3 Bret Michaels!!  Can you believe it?  But of course I think that our costumes were the best :)
