I feel like this little birdie. All big and puffed up for winter. This week it continues to rain, for 5 days straight, not stopping for another few days. I've been bundled up to stay warm. And I'm also indulging in all of the holiday goodies, treats and yummy drinks. I know I will want to make up for it later, but for now I'm just enjoying.
What are your best tips for beating the holiday bulge?

I was watching the nightly news last night (bc I live an awesome life...LOL) and am praying that no mudslides happen! Hope the rain stops! It was cold and rainy this weekend in FL too. Booo.

I'm super bundled up here too. IT'S COLD! And one of my co-workers brought me a HUGE basket of homemade goodies this morning: cookies, banana bread, fudge. Umm...I had told myself I was going to be REALLY good this week until Christmas. Something tells me I won't be keeping that promise! :)
Omg, it is SO hard to even be motivated to go out and get to the gym when it's cold or rainy (I guess it's not usually cold in LA, but it is FREEZING here!).
On days when I know I have a party, or something to go to, I try not to eat carbs, and fill up on fruits and veggies! I also never, ever eat past 10 p.m., which definitely helps! SO hard, but it does help me to feel better about myself (especially when I'm wearing a million layers!).

Good news is that when it's cold, we have to wear more clothes! You can always make up for it later...but there's no way to make up for missing out on memories because you're not taking part! probably not the best advice, but that's what I've got ;) xoxo {av}

Exercise. There's NO sense in turning down any sort of yumminess. So... just walk it off later :)

it is sooo cold here too! its -20C i dont know what that is in F... but either way - its COLD!
Bring on the layers and the bulge!! I dont really restrict anything calorie wise during the holidays - just take part in lots of fun wintery activities!
skating, tobogganing, i think even snow angels burn calories.
I'm right there with you. Cookies and cupcakes and holiday goodies. I just try to make two meals super light if I'm going to indulge. Then I figure I'll make up for it in 2011...
haha too funny. i am definitely indulging much more than i normally would!! it's kind of a given around the holidays :) do you normally work out? i would say if you do at least 45 min of cardio 3 days a week, you'll be a-ok!
I prefer to think that all the shopping burns extra calories. HA!
I'm having a hard time as well! It's too cold to go to the gym. Drink a lot of liquids and you'll feel full.
