Royal Wedding

Did you watch the Royal Wedding?  I dvr'd it and caught the highlights from the news, facebook, twitter, everywhere!  

Her gown was gorgeous!!

How fabulous did her sister Pippa look too?

And how sweet was their kiss?  I think it was clear they are crazy about each other.

And who doesn't love one of the little bridesmaid's faces in that pic too, haha!

The second dress was just as stunning, but how could it not be with such a gorgeous bride?!

And then of course the maid of honor in a beautiful dress, love the accessories too...

I just love weddings...don't you? :)

The Shine Project

Have you heard of The Shine Project??

This is Ashley.  

She is the creative genius behind The Shine Project.  Check out her blog here.

She is spreading shine around by doing all sorts of charitable acts of kindness.  She sells these adorable necklaces and the proceeds go towards a scholarship for inner city school college students!  How awesome is that?!

And now she has also started selling her Shine t-shirts, just like the one she's wearing in the picture above.  This way we can all get involved with a Shine Project in our own community!  I know I'm inspired to start doing just a little more...

- donating clothes to charity

- organizing can food drives

- volunteering at a beach clean-up

And maybe, just maybe creating my own little Shine Project group out here in Southern California.  Are you interested in spreading the shine?!

Five Friday Faves

Here are my 5 favorites...

At school we had a picnic for Earth Day.  I love that I work at a small private school where everyone comes together as such a family.

This weekend we're headed out to Palm Springs to relax and celebrate the boyfriend's birthday.  Can't wait to soak up the sun and just be with my love.

There are 48 days until Puerto Vallarta!!  

And there are only 32 days of work left before summer vacation!!  I absolutely love teaching, but I also look forward to the breaks just as much as the students :)

Target Tuesday - Towels

Last week I went to Target to find some bath towels.  We were just in need of new ones and you know Target can always deliver!  

I loved these...and purchased them too!  They are the Sunburst Towel in Gray.  I love them!!  I purchased a large towel, 2 white bath towels and 2 patterned small towels.  They were out of the hand towels, the medium size, so I'll be going back.

Here is the coordinating shower curtain.  I didn't purchase this, but it shows off the pattern.  I love it!

Truckit Fest

This past weekend I went with my boyfriend to a food truck festival in Los Angeles.  It's called the Truckit Fest.  It is held in Union Station the first Sunday of every month through September.  It was fun!  

My favorite was The Feast Truck.  We split the fest sandwich, which was basically a Thanksgiving leftover sandwich.  Yum!!

My second favorite was the sample we had from the Ragin Cajun truck.  After having their freebie sampler we thought it would be genius of all the trucks to have sample sizes (like one taco or half a sandwich) for a festival like this one.  We would have been able to try so much more!!

We tried Slammin Sliders.  I had the pulled pork and Kenny had the Kobe beef.  Mine was not that good, basically just too fatty, but Kenny loved his!  I'd try it again, but I'd try something else.

It was a lot of fun!  They also had clothing and accessory vendors.  I tried to purchase a cute tank, but they didn't have my size.  Kenny was able to buy two fun graphic shirts.  Have you ever been to a food truck festival?

My boyfriend and I have been talking about how we need to get out and move!  We went on a run last weekend and I'm so out of shape I had sore legs for days!!  I need to get up off my butt and just move to get rid of those few extra pounds and feel good about wearing my bikini in just a few short months in Puerto Vallarta!

Impromptu Photo Shoot

A while back a big group of us went to see the movie From Prada to Nada.  A friend of ours edited the movie so we were all excited to support him.

At the theater there were cut outs of the two main girls in the movie, so of course, impromptu photo shoot!

I'm sure all of the people in the theater thought I was insane!  But I had a lot of fun!

The movie was adorable too, check it out!

New Jacket!!

Well I love the jacket!!  It's from Thread Sence.  

I purchased it immediately!  I can't wait to get it :)

It's always so chilly at my school that I need to have a jacket with me.

Kentucky Derby Party

Do you remember months ago when I asked for advice on a Kentucky Derby outfit?  Well here's the outcome!!  We went to a surprise birthday party for a friend.  The party was Kentucky Derby themed.  It was so fun!!  I love getting all dolled up :)

I know it was recommended to wear pastel or bright colors, but there was only one Forever 21 hat to be found and it was black!  So I went with it.

Kenny was so excited about his outfit for the night too!  He found this jacket, tie and button-up at a vintage store, perfect, right?!

We had a lot of fun...  Can't wait for our next costume/dress-up/party!

I Ain't Afraid of No Ghost

This past weekend was a huge birthday party for 3 friends.  It's an annual party the 3 boys have dubbed "Booze Bash".  It's lots of fun, but they've said this year is the last, so with a group of girls we all dressed up to celebrate it accordingly!

They were the "Booze Busters" and I was Slimer!

It was a lot of fun.  I handed out lime green jello shots as a little slime for everyone to enjoy.  

I pulled this costume together so last minute and it worked perfectly!
