I have three and I love them!  They are comfy, cute and perfect for running around during summer nights.

Vintage Love

It always happens that when you're out shopping for something specific, in my case a formal dress, you can't find it!  However this time I did still come home with a fabulous score!!  

I was at It's a Wrap out here in Los Angeles.  It's a store that has clothes and accessories from movies and television.  It's actually a pretty fun place to shop since you find never worn pieces and great deals on designer labels.

I found a fabulous DVF wrap dress!!  On super sale!!  Score!! :)  It is white and green, just like the classic DVF from back in the day...

The print is a little different, there are no buttons, but this is actually really close to the wrap dress I purchased.  I think it's a re-release of the iconic dress, but I'm in love!  Oh!  And my dress was on General Hospital, another fun fact about the items from It's a Wrap is they tell you which show or movie it's from, so fun!

Thanks to all my twitter ladies for helping me make the easy decision to purchase :)  I'll be wearing it at the Kappa Delta Convention this week, so be sure to check back for pictures!!

Date Night

Last night the boyfriend and I went out on a date!  Don't you just love getting a little more dressed up, anticipating the date the whole day and having a fun night of dinner & a movie?

We started by having dinner at Market City Caffe.  It is so yummy!  We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful summer weather, and a nice bottle of wine.  

After eating too much pasta, we went over to Burbank Bar and Grille for a drink.  I had a flirtini.  Yummy!!

Then we were off to see Super 8.  It was a typical blockbuster summer action movie, exactly what I expected.  We were both entertained and enjoyed it.

Then on the way out we stopped for some ice cream.  I had a gift card leftover from when I taught 5th grade, so we though, why not?!  It was so yummy with Heath Bar and Twix.

Dear 16 Year Old Me...

I know I wear sunscreen, constantly reapply and bug everyone I know to do the same.  So here's a little reminder for all of you.  Please watch, maybe even cry a little like me, and then share it with everyone you know.  Spread the word...

Puerto Vallarta

Our Puerto Vallarta Adventure...

We started off the trip on a bus ride to the airport.  A little tired, but so excited!!

On the plane we of course enjoyed Coronas!

 Our hotel offered lots of activities, like bartending class.  Don't mind if I do enjoy some free drinks :)

 We took a long bus ride out to Sayulita, a fabulous surf village.  We definitely want to go back and just stay there for a week!

 We enjoyed excursions through Vallarta Adventures.  This adventure was a boat ride at sunset, dinner out on the sand and a "luau" type show.  

 Lots of margaritas were enjoyed!

 Another Vallarta Adventure, this time a boat ride and snorkeling.  I had never done it before and loved it!  We're already talking scuba certification for our next tropical adventure.

 More drinks to enjoy at the yummiest restaurant, Victor's Place.  We even got to meet Victor himself and of course take a tequila shot with him...

Our last Vallarta Adventure was zip-lining.  It was so much fun!!  Here are our crazy guides...

We were on our trip with my boyfriend's family.  Here is his sister and brother-in-law with us one night at dinner.  The sand says "PV Maloney" which is his mom's last name.

Although our trip actually ended a few days early due to a family emergency (everything is fine now...) we had a wonderful time!  I can't wait to go on another vacation adventure soon.

Sorority Formal

This summer I'm attending my sorority's convention.  One of the night's is a formal dinner.  Their suggestion for what to wear included the "dressiest dress in your closet", which I do not own :)  So I've been looking online and here's what I've found so far...

Although my ideal dress was from yesterday's post...just fabulous!

Any suggestions on where to find a great dress for under $200?

I'm loving...my new iphone!!  I bought the newest one and I am loving all I can do on it!!  I have apps for all kinds of things.  What apps do you recommend?  I'm currently loving the Words with Friends and the Pinterest app too, just addicting :)

  I'm loving...all the great quotes and inspiration I'm finding on Pinterest.  Have you joined?  You totally have to!!  Although it is completely addicting and can eat up so much time, but time well spent in my opinion!

And I'm loving...this past week at work!  We had Open House and it was amazing!  Then we had Grandparents and Special Friends' Day, which was also so sweet.  All of the students showed off all of their hard work throughout the year and it was just so wonderful to see.  

Now here's crossing those fingers again for a job next year!!  The teaching world really can be unpredictable...
