Maria Dismondy wrote the books Spaghetti in a Hot Dog Bun.  She's the author behind Juice Box Bully too.  This book deals with bullying, acceptance, and loving you for being you!  It's a great story for elementary age children, but the message is universal.

Maria Dismondy kindly sent me two autographed copies to giveaway to my lovely readers!  If you're a teacher, have little ones at home, or even nieces and nephews, then you should be entering to win!

Pass it Forward

The amazing Ashley over at The Shine Project has done it again!!  She has a new project called Pass It Forward.  You can check out the new website at www.spreadtheshine.com.

Pass It Forward was designed to get people to do little things, everyday, that makes an impact on the community around them. Pass it Forward is designed around a card. Each card is given a unique ID number. For example you pay for the Starbucks of the person in line behind you.  You'd give the cashier the card, and tell them to pass it along to the next car when they pull up for their drink and find out its been paid for.  Then you go home and log into the website that was on the card, and using the unique ID number. Login, add my information...name, city, and a description of the Pass it Forward....

The person behind you in the Starbucks drive-thru would then have the chance to Pass it Forward too, then would go home and do the same thing.

From the very beginning, you will be able to track where your card goes, and how many people you affect just by doing one simple act of kindness.
Cards will be given with every purchase from the SHINE SHOP, or you can purchase a pack of 10 from the shop as well. Portions of all proceeds go to the shine scholarship project!!

On Ashley's blog on Fridays, she'll be sharing stories that were sent in about how someone ended up with the card, or what a person did to pass it forward.

Spread The Shine Project as far as we can...
The more people it reaches, the more lives will be changed.

If you would like to help spread this new project, please share with your friends on facebook, twitter, pinterest...whatever.

Pop over to Ashley's blog to grab a Pass it Forward button to spread the word!

Sole Society - Spring Sandals

Have you purchased from Sole Society?  It's one of the many shopping sites that's been popping up lately - you take the quiz, they create your own personal closet of items, then you shop!  This site actually just recently did away with the automatic renewal each month, which makes me much more inclined to buy!  And they're offering $15 off your first purchase too, with code NOFEES15, so that's a plus in my book :)

I think these gorgeous heels might be my first purchase...

What do you think?  Perfect for spring and summer?

Bright Colors for Spring

Lately I've been pinning so many flowy sheer tops in bright colors!
I may have even purchased this one from Windsor yesterday just because it's so darn cute on Sydney from the Daybook.

I love this purple color too!!  Exactly how I'd want to wear it - tunic length with a pair of skinnies.

I found a sheer top like the one in this outfit from Forever 21.

I guess I'm ready for spring and summer with all these light fabrics and bright colors.  Are you ready!?  It's actually been in the 70s and even low 80s here in SoCal this week.

Spring Must Haves - Guest Blogger

Hey y'all!  I'm Courtney from over at Courtney's Organized Chaos and I'm going to share with you guys my must-haves for Spring!

I don't know about where y'all live, but around here instead of the normal winter temperatures, we are experiencing warm, spring-like temperatures and it is great!!  It has got me really thinking about what I really want in my spring wardrobe.

For me, I group my clothing into two categories: fall/winter and spring/summer.  Basically, I buy my spring clothes with every intention of carrying them over into summer.  I will just wear cardigans, jeans, or long sleeve shirts incorporated with the spring pieces.

Here are some of my must-haves for Spring:

And this couldn't be a post about Spring fashions without featuring a new pocket book...or three:

What are some of your favorites for Spring?

Thanks MJ for letting me guest post!!
